Taylor Communications is seeking a Labels and Packaging Supplier  Manager to analyze, develop, implement and maintain a product and service procurement strategy that supports the company’s growth goals and objectives. The position is responsible for evaluating market conditions, aligning supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, collaborating on growth strategies and measuring supplier performance.


Shift Available

  • Monday through Friday


Responsibilities Include:

  • As a Commodity Manager of Labels and Packaging, implements Supplier Relationship Management framework and engages stakeholders and suppliers to ensure compliance, governance, performance management, and collaborative continuous improvement.
  • Leads the development and implementation of category sourcing strategies and ensures alignment, compliance and delivery of business requirements/needs.
  • Using an established sourcing management process, manages strategic sourcing projects to establish sources of supply via market intelligence gathering and analysis, competitive sourcing events (RFIs, RFP/RFQs), and contract negotiations.
  • Leads development of and implements cost savings projects.
  • Leads engagement with the business stakeholders across sales / manufacturing support functions such as Supply Chain Management, Quality Assurance, Technology, Environmental Health and Safety, in support of strategic sourcing and relationship management.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree (Bachelor's Degree or equivalent) preferably in related fields
  • 5-10 years of work experience in strategic sourcing, contract negotiations and execution, and contract manufacturing relationship management
  • Experience working with suppliers and customers across the label and packaging industry
  • Excellent English speaking and writing skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work well with people from many different disciplines
  • Project management experience specifically related to strategic sourcing projects
  • High degree of flexibility and adaptability to deal with ambiguous and dynamic situations
  • Experience managing multiple simultaneous and complex projects requiring frequent communication, organizing/time management and problem solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, collaboration, negotiation, analytical, and project management skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal coaching



Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in related field
