Prime Pork is seeking an experienced Human Resources Director to join our team. This role engages as a trusted advisor, coach, and consultant for senior leaders to improve leadership capability, team effectiveness, strategic insight, and business performance; and plays an integral role on management teams within the business unit to add value to the organization. 

Responsibilities Include:

  • Enhances and builds the capability of the business by incorporating the people component into strategic planning, development, and assessment.  Works with top management to set long-term staffing goals, as well as development and effectiveness strategies.
  • Drive and support recruitment efforts for business unit positions.
  • Ensures effective execution of HR services to the business and a positive customer experience; partners with HR staff and business unit leadership to understand all services requested/delivered, monitoring performance and course correcting as necessary to ensure strong employee relations practices are in place.
  • Generates and analyzes statistical data and reports (e.g. turnover, employee surveys, performance management, etc.) to identify and determine opportunities to work with leadership to improve the overall environment.
  • Coaches and guides managers on employee relations issues such as performance, employee concerns etc., and partner with Legal department when necessary to investigate and resolve issues.
  • Facilitates and provides training to managers and employees on a variety of topics such as orientation, employment law topics, leadership/management effectiveness training, and improvement related topics.
  • Partners with the broader HR community to support the business in driving organizational alignment, managing through change, drive employee engagement, build a global mind-set, and promote a culture of diversity and inclusion.
  • Conducts the succession planning/business continuity planning process within the business unit.  Works with business leaders to identify needed knowledge, skills, and abilities required for positions.
  • Provides coaching and work direction to other HR team members, may include formal leadership and responsibility for direct reports

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of progressive Human Resources experience with at least 5 years of Human Resources Management.
  • Undergraduate degree in Human Resources or Business Management, or related field.  Graduate degree in Human Resources or Business Management preferred.
  • PHR/SPHR and/or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
  • Strong financial and operational business acumen.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.
