 Taylor Communications is seeking a Material Manager for our Radcliff, KY location.  The Materials Manager role leads the Facility Front End functions, and is responsible for performance in Plant Delivery/On Time to Desired, managing optimal Scheduling/Lead Time performance, Inventory/Purchasing, pre-press, quality management, and Customer Service functions. They need to effectively recruit, hire, train and retain team members. This individual needs to effectively communicate issues, concerns or results with various levels of the internal and external organizations and how to assign and manage workflow and associates to meet customer Service Level Agreements. This individual also knows how to best coach, mentor, manage and lead performance goals and how to resolve customer concerns in a timely and effective manner.

Shift Available:

  • Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm. A few Saturdays.


  • Key member of leadership team able to contribute and promote ideas and concepts to improve service, cost, and quality supported by fact based data and analysis.
  • Direct and coordinate activities concerned with the operation of procurement, scheduling, prepress and customer service within the company guidelines and policies. Ensure both the client Key Performance Indicators and expectations are met.
  • Manage efficiency by staffing to meet the fluctuations in customer demands and programs.
  • Manage performance on all programs to meet and exceed all expectations.
  • Recruits, hires, trains and retains associates
  • Identifies areas of opportunity within the teams(s) to develop and implement comprehensive improvement plans to meet customer requirements and center efficiencies.
  • Coordination of information between internal departments to ensure that all client and company goals are being attained.

 Minimum Qualifications:

  • At least one year supervisory experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • PC and MS Office Software skills.
  • Strong project management skills are required.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Problem solver; able to assess situation, prioritize quickly, communicate effectively, and make decisions.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify and implement concepts to optimize performance.
  • Previous experience managing exempt and non-exempt direct reports.
  • Document Management Industry experience.
  • Willing to travel on company business.

 Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • 3 – 5 years of experience managing production control, quality assurance and customer service
  • One to three years related experience and/or training in material management or customer service industry.
  • Knowledge of ISO quality systems
