Software Engineer III


ComplyRight, Inc., is a multi-channel marketing and product development company specializing in labor law, HR and tax solutions that create a bridge between what the law requires and what makes sense for businesses.


We are seeking a motivated and hands-on Principal Software Engineer to help us expand on our cutting-edge solutions. This individual will lead a cross-functional team to help develop and scale our platform.


Principal Software Engineers should exhibit exceptional technical acumen mixed with an ability to influence and inspire change in our organization. You should be someone who loves to be hands-on and find new and innovative ways to deliver cutting-edge solutions to market faster with an eye on scalability, availability, and performance. You will lead architectural and big-picture oversight for development of new and growing solutions in collaboration with the development team. You will work closely with the Product and Marketing stakeholders to assess business requirements and develop the technical vision for our development teams with a high-level of ownership and accountability.



Provide technical leadership, driving and performing best engineering practices to initiate, plan, and execute large-scale, cross functional, and critical development efforts.

Design and implement new, innovative solutions following best practices for performance and scalability.

Plan, communicate, and implement strategies for re-architecture, componentization of legacy applications and manage tech debt effectively.

Maintain and improve the functionality of existing applications.

Collaborate with Senior Staff Software Engineer to review and assess development resource needs.

Champion and contribute improvements of ongoing standard software development processes, team infrastructure and methodology in collaboration with other Principal and Senior Staff Software Engineers.

Collaborate with product development team and other senior development staff to strategize, document, communicate and execute development projects based on business requirements.

Ongoing review of development efforts to ensure compliance with business requirements, scalability, security, and other best practices.

Identify, evaluate, and lead integration of new technologies for use in projects across the business.

Produce and maintain documentation, system diagrams and data models.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field

7+ years of .NET web development using C#

Experience with SQL and database design

Experience with MVC4 or MVC-based architectural patterns a plus

Experience with web services using WCF, ASMX and various protocols (SOAP, REST, JSON)

Experience with jQuery and other client-side libraries

Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and AngularJS

Experience with integrating third party tools and cloud middleware platforms

Ability to troubleshoot and resolve integration and migration issues

Excellent verbal, written, and listening skills

Strong interpersonal and leadership skills including collaboration, facilitation and negotiation

Demonstrated organizational skills, follow through and detail-orientation

Ability to prioritize and multi-task successfully in a deadline-intensive environment

Ability to learn quickly, self-teach, take initiative and adapt easily to changes
