Taylor Corporation is seeking a Technical Lead to join the Northern Lights division who will be primarily responsible for leading ongoing technology projects and initiatives, while ensuring best practices are met. They will be required to conduct hands-on involvement in design, architecture and development activities using technologies like: HTML, JavaScript, Angular, Microsoft .NET and SQL Server technologies. In addition, this individual will be expected to learn and have good understanding of our current technology projects and skillsets; as well as understanding where there may be redundancies. This individual will be expected to make recommendations to eliminate and improve efficiencies within technology efforts by working directly with customers and developing action plans for our offshore resources.

Ideally we would like this person to be local but we are open to remote depending on location.


Responsibilities Include:

  • Leading technology projects and initiatives with multiple customers.
  • Ensuring best practices are met and developing processes to ensure continual education across all project teams.
  • Will be involved in tactical activities, such as design and development, in each project they are assigned.
  • Be a lead in communication and execution with development teams and our customers. In addition, this individual must be prepared to present their efforts to multiple audiences.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related in field
  • 5+ years engineering experience, with expert level experience in at least one of the following areas:
    • C#, .NET, ASP.NET
    • JavaScript, Angular, TypeScript, React, Node.js, HTML/CSS
    • SQL Server, ADO.NET, noSQL
  • Customer facing projects
  • Experience communicating with senior level leaders
  • Expertise in common development best practices
  • Experience in fast paced Agile Scrum environments
  • 25-30% travel if local, more if remote


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree
  • Experience with offshore teams
  • Understanding & implementation of automated test processes
  • Knowledge of project management processes
  • Fluent in Mandarin
