Taylor Communications is seeking a Business Development Manager (BDM) to acquire new business. The BDM will work closely with Sales leadership and technical experts, while collaborating closely with the Field Sales team to create opportunities and close new business. This is a “conqueror” position focused on strategic selling of new business for our labels segment, not managing existing accounts.

Shift Available

  • Monday through Friday; weekends as business needs dictate

 Responsibilities Include:

  • Leverage modern selling strategies to effectively acquire new business and then build a new opportunity pipeline
  • Represent our Labels solutions and collaborate as required with other Taylor sales leadership to address the customers’ needs by aligning value-based solutions with the customer’s objectives
  • Understand the underlying forces and direction of specific markets, and then leverage this insight to create new business opportunities with customers
  • Strong desire to win new business
  • Demonstrate customer focus and curiosity with a strong desire to have deep understanding of the customer’s business and growth objectives
  • Embrace product and market knowledge to meet the evolving needs of customers
  • Builds strong trusting relationships to achieve results

Minimum Requirements:  

  • Bachelor’s degree and relevant experience
  • Highly motivated self-starter with disciplined persistence and intensity
  • Proven sales ability and strengths meeting diverse customer needs
  • Must possess superior level listening and discovery/diagnosis skills
  • Technical aptitude to interface with operation and manufacturing teams
  • Experience with complex sales
  • Ability to work independently with a high degree of integrity
  • Demonstrated commitment to professional development
