The Marketing Manager will have ownership over the growth objectives of the company, focusing on customer retention and acquisition by maximizing the effectiveness of the sales team and marketing. The person selected for this position will be expected to orchestrate solutions for key customers that include the full range of services offered by Progressive Communications and identify customer needs through collaborative strategic planning. The role has direct and indirect P&L accountability. 

This position will interface and work very closely with senior production, administrative, and finance management and report directly to the President.  He/she will build strategic partnerships at a senior level with customers and the supply chain to bring an understanding of the market trends, customer business strategies, aspirations and operational needs back into the business, working closely with marketing and development teams in the shaping of market-leading, value-added solutions.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Own the growth objectives of the company.
  • Develop, manage, and grow a leading edge solutions selling team while equipping them with all necessary training and marketing tools to accomplish the objectives.
  • Identify customer needs through collaborative strategic planning and orchestrate solutions for customers which include the full range of services offered by Progressive Communications.
  • Build strategic partnerships at a senior level with customers and the supply chain to bring an understanding of the market trends, customer business strategies, aspirations and operational needs back into the business.
  • Take on direct and indirect P&L responsibilities as a member of the senior management team.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Oversee development of marketing materials, communications and tools to communicate solutions capabilities.
  • Use market research and competitive analysis to ensure Progressive Communications is offering solutions that resonate with customers.  Lead the development of strategic business plans, marketing tools and sales infrastructure for the solutions business.
  • Work with executive leaders across the company to identify the key accounts most relevant to migrate from single service or cross-sell opportunities to more complex solutions offerings.  
  • Ensure compliance around all Progressive Communications policies.

  • Well-honed emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills able to build effective relationships, constructively challenge and influence across multiple stakeholders at all levels – both within the internal matrix organization and externally in the market with clients and others.

 EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution required.
  • Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) preferred.
  • 5+ years in marketing, sales, and/or sales management.
  • Significant cross functional leadership experience preferred in commercial printing and printing-related services, with significant experience leading teams that develop integrated solutions.
  • Demonstrated track record selling to and interfacing with Fortune 500 companies.
