Taylor Communications is seeking a Senior Human Resources Business Partner to support the business management team for the strategic and operational success of the business.  The position is responsible for leading assigned business HR programs and initiatives to align with assigned business operational performance objectives. Facilitates, manages and leads change, proactively assesses business needs and collaboratively develops solutions. Serves as a consultant to business management on human capital related matters, which may include culture, organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, talent acquisition and development, employee engagement and retention.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Drives the culture through the mission, core values, expected behaviors and customer service principles.
  • Acts as change agent in the diagnosis of organizational problems, separates symptoms from causes, helps set the agenda for the future and creates plans for making change happen.
  • Builds change leadership capabilities within the business unit.
  • Ensures proposals for change take into account how employees need to adapt to new behaviors, thereby assisting employees to participate in appropriate ways.
  • Plan organizational structure, strategy and role and goal clarity, to support the delivery of business goals.
  • Understands conditions and trends in the business and effectively envisions, develops, and implements new strategies to address competitive, complex current and future business issues.
  • Serves as a trusted advisor to guide business decisions and is sought out for his/her perspective in people-related decisions.
  • Works closely with business management to improve employee work relationships, engagement, retention and performance.
  • Develops workplace planning strategies and action plans based on business needs.
  • Identifies workforce planning issues and partners with Talent Management to address these issues with focused solutions.
  • Drives business diversity initiatives aligned with enterprise-wide strategy.
  • Provides guidance and input on business unit restructures, and succession / replacement management.
  • Conducts workforce assessments and plans/executes reduction-in-force when needed.
  • Identifies professional development needs for business units and individual coaching needs. Ensures business units have appropriate talent pipeline.
  • Identifies leadership development needs and contributes to solutions to improve the capability of leaders to lead and manage their employees to achieve desired outcomes. Supports leaders with the development of employee performance improvement plans, and career development plans through effective coaching, mentoring and training activities.
  • Supports business management in the identification and development of employees for key leadership and management positions with the implementation and facilitation of talent reviews and succession planning.
  • Provides one-on-one support and developmental coaching for high potentials.
  • Participates as part of the interview team for all exempt level positions.
  • Ensures positive employee relations within the business unit.
  • Identifies and communicates business HR needs to HR COEs and Shared Services.
  • Partners to ensure proper job definition and application of competitive pay / rewards programs.
  • Partners to resolve workplace issues.
  • Support business management in analyzing and identifying opportunities to improve employee engagement.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years’ experience in human resources.
  • Demonstrated success driving utilization of new HR COE model, policies and practices within business units.
  • HR certification or master’s degree preferred.
