The Lead for the Emerging Sales Team oversees all aspects of the Emerging Sales Trainee Program from recruiting, hiring, training coordination, and placement. The manager ensures all Sales Trainees have opportunity and preparation to enable placement in a field sales role within seven to fourteen months of hire to their preferred geographic locations across the United States.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Oversee the Emerging Sales Trainee recruitment, training, execution, and placement
  • Execute program and advise revision to maximize success of Sales Trainees and program at-large
  • Build relationships and attend events at target colleges for Program recruitment
  • Work with leaders within Taylor to establish sales mentors to partner with trainees
  • Meet or exceed training, initiatives and sales goals
  • Ensure trainees understand progression expectations and meets or exceeds measures to be ready for placement within seven to fourteen months
  • Coordinate training schedules to support development progression
  • Make recommendations on trainee placement based on skills assessment and measures
  • Define and assign territories for each trainee
  • Prepares weekly progress reports on trainee progress and measures

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, marketing, sales or related field; or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years’ experience and proven success in sales with experience in sales management or sales training preferred
  • Related industry experience
