Inside Sales Coordinator
Description
Sumitomo Wiring System (U.S.A.), Inc., a Sumitomo Electric Group company, is looking for a full-time and exempt Inside Sales Coordinator who will be working in Novi, MI. This person will be responsible for executing customer requests for quote (RFQ) in compliance with established company policies and procedures. The position will support activities related to sales forecasting & budgeting for manufacturing capacity studies. The position will also aid upper management in developing, interpreting and implementing company policies and procedures for performing company functions.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
The following list represents major duties and responsibilities of this position. It is by no means all-inclusive. Other duties will be assigned as necessary.
- Directly responsible for processing company RFQ
- Identify key relationships for all customer RFQ
- Communicate with customer accounts related with RFQ submission
- Assist Sales Manager with price calculation tasks
- Assist Customer Service team with Sales forecasting accuracy improvement ideas
- Recommend improvement ideas for various manufacturing and Sales forecasting areas
- Assist and support with New Program Launches
- Identify and recommend improvement ideas for New Program Launches
- Perform other duties, as required.
- Daily communication with tier sales representatives and OEM account managers regarding RFQ and related components of quoting.

- REASONING ABILITY: Ability to analyze and interpret a variety of data, variables and instructions in written, oral, diagram or schedule form, to formulate business proposals in areas of responsibilities, is required to perform the essential functions of this position.
- COMMUNICATION SKILLS: High-level proficiency to read, analyze, and interpret professional and technical business data and resource materials, write reports and business correspondence and effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, suppliers and other business contacts. Strong negotiation skills are also required.
- A Bachelors’ degree and one to three years of related automotive experience preferred.
- Direct experience working with EDI systems, release management, and web-based supply chain management systems is not necessary but a plus, along with general knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
Compensation may vary depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and competencies. Base pay is one part of the total compensation as well as a strong benefits package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work.
