Network Specialist

Job Description:-

- You will assist in performing network performance analysis on a wide area network utilizing various monitoring tools. Troubleshooting second and third level communications problems with the vendor to increase network availability to the end user and reviewing tickets is the primary function of your role. 

- Communicate with vendors, customers, management, and network staff to facilitate and resolve network problems

– Assists in the rapid assessment of both the nature and severity of network problems, escalate to appropriate organizations when necessary, and initiate calls to various support organizations as needed

- Communicate with vendors, customers, management, and network staff to facilitate and resolve network problems

- Flexibility and able to work a wide variety of 24/7/365 shifts based on the needs of the business

- Coordinate with supervisors and coworkers to balance the workload and keep them apprised of open issues

- Document network outages, update procedural documents, and follow all established SOPs

- Remediate and update device certificates within the network environment

Minimum Qualifications:--

- Must possess a Bachelor's degree and 6-7 years of experience, or 10 overall years of experience in a technical field without a degree

- Must be able to obtain CBP clearance in order to be considered (US citizen required)

- A firm understanding of layers 1, 2, and 3 of the OSI model

- Proven knowledge of basic network concepts, terminology, and troubleshooting

- Strong technical aptitude including excellent troubleshooting skills

- Previous network troubleshooting experience

- Ability to coordinate effectively with other team members

- Excellent interpersonal phone skills

- Ability to prioritize and manage time on multiple projects simultaneously within strict timelines

- Attention to detail 


Preferred Qualifications:-

- Computer Science degree


- Ability to learn and adapt quickly to support multiple vendors
