About the Job

STG, Inc. is seeking a Cyber Threat Analyst to join the security team of a major nationwide organization, with thousands of sites, to continually improve its complex multi-protocol nationwide network. A Cyber Threat Analyst is needed to support the customer team. The ideal candidate for this job will be an experienced information security practitioner who is goal-oriented and strives to exceed expectations.

The Cyber Threat Analyst will support the mission of the Threat Intelligence Unit by analyzing and tracking adversaries, creating and sharing intelligence both internal and external, and creating and updating cyber threat profiles for leadership

This position is located in Falls Church, VA.

Responsibilities Include

  • Provide expertise for developing and implementing a company’s cyber threat intelligence capability
  • Create and support data processing pipelines and storage systems for threat intelligence data
  • Use exceptional analysis skills to identify trends and patterns in intelligence data
  • Write and develop automation tools for improved data processing

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience
  • BA/BS in computer science, information security, or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • One or more preferred - CISSP, CISA, CISM, GIAC, RHCE, CPTE, or CEH
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance
  • Must be highly motivated with the ability to self-start, prioritize assignments, and work in a collaborative Agile team environment
  • Possess analytical skills to make efficient and acceptable decisions
  • Effective oral and written communication skills to interact with constituents and other teams.
  • Strong skills in cyber threat intelligence analysis and reporting, cyber defense techniques, and adversary tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTP).
