About the job

Department of State contract in Washington, DC on which we provide system development and full spectrum IT support services. The project needs a Software Developer to develop Web-based applications in a .NET, MVC 4, TFS, Oracle, and Windows environment. Work in a team environment to research, design, develop, and support a software system which is undergoing a modernization and consolidation of multiple legacy systems into one modernized system.


Work closely with the stakeholders and team members, and using Business Rules and Use Cases as a basis: design, develop, and implement .NET applications utilizing Visual Studio, Team Foundation Server, ASP.NET, C#, and Oracle following MVC 4 design patterns. Participate in Agile Scrum SDLC activities. Perform unit and integration testing of software/systems prior to release to the users for user acceptance testing.  Enter and track requirements information in MS Team Foundation Server.


Work in a team environment with other .NET developers developing new Web-based applications. Support developing Agile SDLC phase documentation. Interact with, and support system users.


Minimum Qualifications

MUST have or be able to obtain a U.S. Government clearance - Secret.


BS/BA +6 years of related experience or equivalent.


Must Have:

  •     Working knowledge and development experience with Visual Studio, ASP, C#, and the design and building of XML Schemas.
  •     At least 3 years experience as a .NET developer.
  •     At least 3 years experience interpreting requirements; and designing, developing, and implementing web-based applications.
  •     Ability to work as a member of a customer oriented team


Preferred experience:

  •     Experience with Microsoft's Team Foundation Server
  •     Knowledge and experience using MVC design patterns
  •     Technical writing skills


Nice To Haves:

  •     Experience in an Agile Scrum environment
  •     TFS Management and code deployment experience
