Job Description:


As a Desktop Systems Administrator, provide end user desktop support to the workforce. Build, configure, and administer Windows-based systems in support of multiple mission areas. Ensure all Windows-based systems are compliant with current DoD and Army regulations. DUTIES INCLUDE:

  • Install, configure, administer, and troubleshoot user workstations and associated peripheral devices
  • Provide desktop and network technical support to end users
  • Perform IAVA vulnerability scans using Retina scanning software
  • Participate in rotational on-call duties to provide after-hours support


Minimum Qualifications:

  • HS + 7 years, or AA/AS + 5, or BS/BA + 3 similar experience
  • IAT II (Security+CE, CCNA-Security, SSCP or equivalent) at hire
  • MCTS 70-680 or higher within 6 months of hire
  • Extensive knowledge of desktop hardware and software maintenance
  • Hands-on experience supporting Microsoft Windows 7
  • Hands-on experience supporting additional Microsoft products (Office 2013)
  • Hands-on experience supporting printers, digital scanners
  • Possess effective troubleshooting skills to resolve new issues
  • Familiarity with Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)
  • Familiarity with security software such as McAfee HBSS
  • Communicate effectively in both oral and written forms with users and office staff
  • Work independently and as a team member; set priorities and organize work to meet deadlines
  • Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with those contacted during the course of the work day
  • Willing to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as necessary
