Description

STG, Inc. has an opportunity as an Onsite Client/Server Network Architect (Team Lead) located in Fort Eustis, VA! This position will support Army Training Support Center (ATSC), which provides cutting edge services focused on providing technical support for Army Training Information Systems (ATIS) and Information Mission Area (IMA) automation equipment, supported system applications, hosted and supported by ATSC.

 

The Client/Server Network Architect (Team Lead) will be the most technically competent engineer on the project and will be assigned the most complex tasking’s to successfully deliver service management for all baseline and mission related network components. The Team Lead will be the onsite supervisor for all other network engineering support personnel working on this project. Travel may be required up to 10% of the time.

 

  • Experience in leading a team responsible for the overall design, integration, troubleshooting, and day-to-day operation of client-mission servers and supporting environments / infrastructures.
  • Experience in leading a team responsible for troubleshooting and fixing/assisting in the operation of Desktop Video Systems, as well as customer Conference room multimedia systems (i.e., installation of multimedia video boards, smart cards, TV tuner cards, video cameras, etc.).
  • Experience and knowledge to make recommendations to improve customer mission systems communications, network, application integration, and IA security compliance.
  • Experience with complex data center communications, networks, and applications, to include different media used for communications, wiring, routers, reliability, availability, and Army/DOD IT/IA standards.
  • Experience with Open System Environment (OSE) requirements.
  • Experience with preparing project management charts/plans that depict work assignments and completion schedules.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

Clearance:

  • Position requires a Secret security clearance
Required Skills:
 
  • 5+ years’ supervisory experience in the management of personnel working on implementing, maintaining and supporting information systems and enterprise applications on a large network.
  • 7 years’ experience in analyzing, designing and troubleshooting automated information systems, network infrastructures, and enterprise applications, and five (5) of those years’ experience in the Windows environment, VMware infrastructure, Oracle systems, and network planning.

 

Education:

·Bachelor's degree in a related field; equivalent experience may be substituted for degree.

 

Certification Requirements:

·         MCIPT or equivalent certification and relevant work experience. 

 

 Desired Skills:

· PMP certification

·Certification in the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework for information technology (IT) infrastructure, development, and operations

·Demonstrate knowledge and possess an awareness of the standards, including ISO/IEC 20000 the international standard covering the IT Service Management elements of ITIL.

·Master degree related field or MBA.
