Minimum/General Requirements:

Two-year degree in Information Technology. Entry-level IT certification and 1 year of experience in computer network installation, administration and maintenance. Experience with desktop operating systems, Office suite, Outlook, and desktop hardware. Experience in providing user support and trouble-shooting for these products. Ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of people in a professional manner, face to face, on the telephone and in writing. Two years of additional experience could offset a year of college. Candidate must be able to lift 50lbs.

 

Knowledge and experience with:

  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Windows 7 and Windows 10 Operating Systems
  • local area network hardware infrastructure
  • Desktop computer hardware
  • Network Printers
  • Knowledge and abilities in the administration of Microsoft Exchange
  • Knowledge and abilities in the administration of Active Directory

 

Functional Responsibility:

 

Under close supervision, perform initial configuration and installation of computer hardware, software, and

peripherals. Identify, log and resolve technical problems with software applications and network systems. Upgrade software and hardware on existing computers.

 

 

Software Systems Utilized:

  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Windows Server 2008 and 2012
  • Windows 7 and Windows 10

 

Period of Performance:

The contractor employee will work an 8 hour shift with a non-compensated 45-minute lunch (See your Project Manager for work schedule).  Additional hours may be required and must be authorized by your Project Manager and DoS Management.

 

Security Requirements:

All personnel provided under this task order must be able to either possess or obtain a security clearance of Secret, to be issued by Department of State, Diplomatic Security.
