Incident Response Coordinator

About the Job:

STG is looking to add a talented Incident Response Coordinator to its team in support of the United States Postal Service.  The ideal candidate will have the ability to work within a team in order to analyze activity on a complex network with the goal of protecting the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of USPS systems and data.  Candidates must have in depth knowledge of networking, malware analysis, intrusion analysis, infection vector identification, and forensics. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Responding to crisis or urgent situations within the pertinent domain to mitigate immediate potential threats.
  • Provide oversight of incident data flow and response
  • Coordinate response action to threats and incidents
  • Analyze operational and network behavior analysis
  • Performing mitigation actions derived from cyber threat monitoring and anomaly analysis.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years of experience in a professional or management capacity with Incident Response responsibilites
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and the Incident Management Bulletin
  • Must have a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Information Security

Must have one or more of the following certifications:
     GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters Degree in Computer Science, information Technology, or Information Security
