About the Job

STG, Inc. is seeking a Field Operations Manager to add to its team in support of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.  This position is located in Vicksburg, Mississippi.  The Field Operations Manager provides technical control, tracking and support of IT operations, maintenance, projects and current business operations. The Field Operations Manager is responsible for providing support to the three regions within the program and ensuring that the activities of the regions are consistent with the mission.  Serves as the liaison between the regional managers and the PMO and is expected to utilize program best practices to support the program’s service delivery model.  Provides direct control, coordination and collaboration across all divisions, districts, and sites. Maintains technical control and visibility on the program’s projects including issues, outages, maintenance and general support through smooth, seamless field operations, providing the single operational focus, and effective management of all regions.  Provides a conduit of constant information flow between the Sites and the Program Manager / Deputy Program Manager. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all aspects of the development and implementation of assigned projects and provides a single point of contact for those projects.
  • Takes projects from original concept through final implementation.
  • Interfaces with all areas affected by the project including end users, computer services, and client services.
  • Defines project scope and objectives.
  • Directs the development of detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports.
  • Conducts project meetings and is responsible for project tracking and analysis.
  • Ensures adherence to quality standards and reviews project deliverables.
  • Provides technical and analytical guidance to project team.
  • Recommends and takes action to direct the analysis and solutions of problems.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in Business, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of technical program related experience in a government contracting environment.
  • Experienced with Communications, Systems, and Network Engineering.
  • An understanding of DoD business transformation and processes.
  • Ability to manage large numbers of personnel across numerous tasks and projects.
  • Active Secret clearance.
  • ITILv3
  • PMP

Preferred Qualifications

  • 15+ years of technical program related experience in a government contracting environment.
  • Masters degree from an accredited college or university in Business, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
  • MCSE
  • CCIE
  • CISSP
