About the Job

STG is seeking a talented and experienced Cyber Security Risk Expert to add to its team in support of the United States Postal Service.  The ideal candidate will have expertise in managing cybersecurity risk both a business and agency perspective.  The Cyber Security Risk Expert will design and administer procedures in the organization that sustains the security of the organization’s data and access to its technology. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess risk of exposure of proprietary data through weaknesses in platforms and access procedures.
  • Identifying and prioritizing organization risks and presenting those risks to leadership.
  • Provide technical support on post even network security logs and trend analysis.
  • Uncovers security and compliance violations.
  • Pinpoints the location of compromised systems and devices.
  • Correlates IP address related events with specific systems or devices in the IT infrastructure.
  • Develop, document, and execute containment strategies.
  • Coordinate efforts of multiple business units during response.
  • Develop requirements for technical capabilities for cyber incident management.
  • Investigate major breaches of security and recommending appropriate control improvements.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in the security aspects of multiple platforms, operating systems, software, communications, and network protocols.
  • Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related disciplines
  • Equivalent combination of education/training/experience in lieu of Bachelors Degree

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related disciplines
  • CCSK or CCSP
  • PMP
  • CISA
