This position will support the RCC-C, an exciting and fast paced organization focused on securing the Army Networks within the Continental United States (CONUS) Theater.


About the Job:

As an Access Management Specialist, you will be responsible for creating user accounts, creating/maintaining passwords, and controlling physical access of classified network devices and communication systems for RCC-C and DoD customers.  As part of the Access Management Team, this position will provide telephone, online, and in-person customer support to resolve service requests and issues related to physical security and access management in a DoD environment. The Access Management team is highly visible and requires constant coordination with internal teams along with direct interaction with customers, IT staff, DA civilians and Military officials.  This role requires a flexible work schedule and the ability to work early and late hours. A professional attitude and strong work ethic are a must; along with the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment both independently or as part of a team effort.


 Primary Duties:

  •  Monitor incidents and service requests using BMC Remedy ITSM and provide the requested support within established Service Level Targets (SLT).
  • Take appropriate action as necessary to ensure proper handling of classified material in order to mitigate any possibility of breaches in security, policy, or procedures.
  •  Effectively manage time and effort to ensure on-time completion of all assigned tasks. Support special projects as needed to achieve organizational goals and/or mission objectives.
  • Coordinate with external organizations such as 7th Signal Command (Theater), Network Enterprise Technology Command (NETCOM), U.S. Army Cyber Command (USARCYBER) and Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) as needed to support customer request.
  • Assist in the creation, maintenance and/or review of written documentation and procedures for the RCC-C and Access Management Team.


Minimum Qualifications

  •  HS +4 years customer service or AA/AS +2 or BA/BS
  • Strong problem solving, troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • The ability to support a rotating shift schedule and after hours / On-call duties.


Preferred Qualifications

  • The ideal individual will have a working knowledge and familiarity with DoD 8500.1, DoD 8500.2, AR 25-1, AR 25-2, AR 380-5 and AR 380-19.
  • CompTIA Security+ CE
  • 3+ years experience supporting Information Assurance and Security related functions in large/complex IT based organizations.
  •  Experience with BMC Remedy
  • Experience using Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS)
