C++ Team Lead
We’re looking for a Server Team Lead to join our busy and dynamic Marketing Technologies (MarTech) department based in our Richmond Hill office.
Why we need you:-
You’ll be developing leading-edge software products to provide the world’s best online gaming experience. You’ll be designing, developing and maintaining the core internals and low level libraries of our MarTech products related to Engagement (e.g. challenges and rewards), CRM (e.g. emails, push notifications and in-client banners), and Digital (e.g. data management platform feed, attribution tracking).
Who are we looking for:
As an experienced leader, you know how to motivate and mentor your team. You can assist them with technical challenges and help them grow. You will be involved in all Server-related projects that are on the go and ensure that your team members are strong contributors to the squads/feature teams that they are part of.
You’ll have extensive proven experience of C++ development along with being an expert in Windows OS internals (WIN32 API and Multi-threading), computer networks and distributed applications. You’ll be producing APIs, crafting documentation and assisting the integration efforts of other teams so you’ll need solid knowledge of Internet communication protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP, etc. And you’ll have
excellent coding skills and the ability to produce clean, robust and accurate code that meets the specs.
You’ll have experience in designing efficient algorithms and knowledge of STL library as you’ll be supporting and driving architectural decisions with respect to our core game system internals. Along with this you are executing efficiently and meeting deadlines to ensure our game system continues to scale successfully with our growing player base.
It’s important that you have experience with relational database (SQL Server, DB2) and a Master’s in Computer Science or equivalent Knowledge as you’ll be delivering high quality software and provide support to our QA teams.
As the ideal candidate, you will have:
- Around 5 years as a leader of developers in an online gaming company.
- Experience with test driven development and agile methodologies will be an added benefit for this role along with an understanding of poker, casino, sports or marketing features in the online gaming industry.
- Knowledge of network security (PKI, TLS/SSL) will be beneficial as will experience with high-demand 24/7 operations and a familiarity with OpenSSL and Pseudo/Hardware RNGs.
Please note, internally the title for this role is Server Team Lead.
