The role: Employee Engagement Specialist
We are looking for an Employee Engagement Specialist to join our busy and dynamic Talent team in our Leeds office.
The role reports to the Senior Manager Talent Integration and Projects and will be responsible for ensuring people are engaged with the engagement process and tool (Officevibe), and our people’s engagement in the group and their role within it improves over time
Why we need you:-
As Employee Engagement Specialist you will be promoting the company vision and values, working closely with Executive Management, Senior Leadership, management teams and other key internal stakeholders. While also, analysing, understanding and leveraging the employee engagement survey results from Officevibe (employee engagement tool) to coordinate the distribution of results.
You will drive improvement in employee engagement through implementing and supporting delivery of engagement action plans across all divisions working closely with senior leadership teams and provide input to recommended engagement strategies. You’ll be tracking and reviewing quarterly engagement actions plans to support participation and engagement scores and reviewing trends in the Officevibe ten key metrics of engagement.
The role requires to you to ensure that continuous improvement remains at the heart of all employee engagement initiatives across the organisation. While working alongside our People Services teams across the organisation to understand the core challenges and to ensure continual improvement and cost savings can be achieved across the business. You will also be required to work closely with key internal leaders to analyse their employee experience data and actively contribute to the internal communication strategy and promotion of employee engagement initiatives.
You’ll be supporting the development and implementation of employee recognition schemes and events designed to motivate and engage people, as well as, coordinating the planning and administrative details of meetings and events. You will be required to produce regular engagement reporting and presentations for leadership teams and key internal stakeholders. While also, coordinating ad hoc engagement surveys and activities in line with specific changes and initiatives.
You should be maintaining up to date Officevibe training material and be working with key contacts at Officevibe to escalate and resolve issues efficiently. This role requires you to collaborate with teams across the group and suppliers on technical/system issues and working closely with senior manager to maintain engagement budgets. You’ll coordinate quarterly employee focus groups across the business and review external engagement sources such as Glassdoor.
Who are we looking for:-
You will previous experience within the field of employer engagement and have strong analytical skills with the ability to craft leadership action plans. Previous experience working in a dynamic environment with a commercial and resilient approach is important. You should have the ability to interact with and energize a broad range of multi-generational, multi-cultural and diverse employee groups, with strong partnering skills and the ability to influence across all levels of leadership.
You’ll be extremely organised with good time management skills. This role requires you to have strong verbal, written communication skills that consist of writing highly effective and engaging content.
As the ideal candidate, you will have:-
Experience working in a highly collaborative team environment, with the ability to actively seek opportunities and propose solutions is desirable. Having relationship-building skills with business leaders/employees, as well as experience in driving change and being a champion of inclusion and diversity is also a plus. Having a proficiency with Microsoft Office products, specifically PowerPoint and Excel are also beneficial.
