Role:

Splunk is looking for a motivated Manager to join their Advisory, Assurance, Risk and Compliance (SpAARC) team. You will plan, lead and execute operational, G-T-M, financial, technology reviews and Advisory Projects, including P2P, O2C, Sales Processes, Programs, Sales Partners, Operations etc. You should be a highly organized leader, upbeat, self starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment. This position promotes working relationships with corporate and international management in a consultative, partnership role regarding risk mitigation, process gaps, maturity and internal controls management. You will be located at Splunk’s San Jose/San Francisco office. The position requires willingness and ability to travel (domestic and international) for approximately 10 to 20% of the time.

Responsibilities:

Lead reviews to evaluate risk, adequacy and effectiveness of key business processes, corporate and international operations, external regulatory and statutory requirements, and adherence to Corporate Policies and Practices.

  • You will own the entire lifecycle of assurance, advisory, compliance reviews from risk assessment, scoping, planning, execution to reporting.
  • You will ensure proper identification and disposition of improvement opportunities that have potential operational, financial and compliance risk implications to the company.
  • Engage with internal customers and external partners (e.g. distributors, resellers, vendors) to analyze problems, develop improvement opportunities, build consensus and support implementation of solutions.
  • Monitor completion of committed action plans to ensure follow through and closure of identified risks.
  • You will present frequently to executive management and business owners on the strategy, plan, status, results of programs and projects.
  • Work with SpAARC management to drive the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) program and perform periodic risk assessments.
  • Build strong partnerships with business owners by providing advisory services on appropriate processes, controls and risk mitigation measures.
  • You will network with industry peers, SMEs, leaders to understand industry trends, drive innovation and introduce Best Practices to Splunk.
  • You will Lead By Example and mentor junior team members.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 6-8 years of experience, including process, systems, operational, financial review / re-engineering / compliance / audit / attestation in a Big 4 / consulting or large global public company or a combination thereof.
  • Knowledge and experience in financial / process / operational / technology reviews, risk assessment required with the ability to construct well-targeted management reports within the context of business/industry operations/practices.
  • Expert in business process / systems / technology “As-Is vs. To-Be” analysis.
  • Experience in international company operations and proficiency in foreign language a plus.
  • Well-established understanding of business dynamics and operations.
  • Good judgment and confidence in resolving matters requiring Board or management attention.
  • Strong leadership, social, verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience in software industry/cloud technology/cloud business models is desirable.
  • Highly motivated, enthusiastic with unquestionable integrity and credibility.
  • Strong project management skills, ability to multi-task, lead multiple engagements / projects and sound demonstration of flexibility in a managerial role.
  • Essential that you are a team-player with very high EQ.
  • Team Management experience is a plus.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in Business, Technology, Finance, Engineering or equivalent.
  • Professional certification such as CPA, MBA, CISSP, CIPP, PMP, CIA or CFE is required.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint with a general understanding of data analysis techniques.
  • Familiarity with SAP or other ERP system a plus.
