Principal Strategy & Operations Manager - Artificial Intelligence
Role Summary:
What you'll get to do:
- Collaborate closely with the VP to set and execute strategic goals, initiatives, and priorities for the AI organization.
- Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to support decision-making.
- Act as a thought partner, helping identify challenges and opportunities for growth and innovation.
- Drive operational efficiency by streamlining processes and ensuring organizational alignment.
- Oversee OKR (Objectives and Key Results) tracking and reporting to ensure the team remains on target.
- Prepare the VP for key meetings, including creating agendas, presentations, and follow-up actions.
- Serve as a key liaison between the VP, internal teams, and external partners, ensuring alignment and clarity across initiatives.
- Craft communications, updates, and presentations for both internal and external audiences.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Lead and manage high-priority projects and initiatives, ensuring timely and high-quality execution.
- Coordinate cross-functional efforts, collaborating with product, engineering, operations, and other teams to deliver on goals.
- Act as a cultural ambassador, fostering a high-performance, inclusive, and collaborative environment.
- Identify and address team needs proactively, ensuring the team has the resources and support to succeed.
Must Have Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree (MBA, MS, etc.) preferred.
- 7+ years of professional experience in strategy, operations, management consulting, or a similar role.
- Experience in a fast-paced technology environment, ideally supporting executive leadership.
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex information into actionable insights.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to influence at all levels.
- High emotional intelligence and ability to build trust across diverse teams.
- Comfort with ambiguity and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Familiarity with AI, machine learning, or adjacent technology fields is a plus.
- Proficiency in productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Suite) and project management software (e.g., Asana, Jira, Notion).

Base Pay Range
SF Bay Area, Seattle Metro, and New York City Metro Area
Base Pay Range: $212,400.00 - 292,050.00 per year
California (excludes SF Bay Area), Washington (excludes Seattle Metro), Washington DC Metro, and Massachusetts
Base Pay Range: $191,160.00 - 262,845.00 per year
All other cities and states excluding California, Washington, Massachusetts, New York City Metro Area and Washington DC Metro Area.
Base Pay Range: $172,000.00 - 236,500.00 per year
Splunk provides flexibility and choice in the working arrangement for most roles, including remote and/or in-office roles. We have a market-based pay structure which varies by location. Please note that the base pay range is a guideline and for candidates who receive an offer, the base pay will vary based on factors such as work location as set out above, as well as the knowledge, skills and experience of the candidate. In addition to base pay, this role is eligible for incentive compensation and may be eligible for equity or long-term cash awards.
