UX Design Intern (Summer 2025 - US, Remote)

Role Summary
What you'll get to do
- Create wireframes for various page templates for the website
- Develop user flows to help articulate screen flows and system requirements
- Build out user scenarios and identify key personas (creating personas may be applicable)
- Support end user research including usability testing, competitive analysis, customer interviews, behavioral insights and metrics analysis to inform designs
- Assimilate and report out on analytics
- Support UX activities in Design Sprints
- Help produce UX guidelines for the web style guide
- Create user interface prototypes when necessary
- Help support Customer Journey mapping activities including documenting outputs and flows
- Collaborate with team members on UX outputs and designs
- Present and communicate designs to peers and executives
- Optimally communicate the user centered design process
Must-have Qualifications
- Actively pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related technical field, and strong record of academic achievement.
- At least one semester/quarter remaining to complete after the internship.
- Available to work 40 hours a week for 12 weeks.
Nice-to-have Qualifications
- Must be proficient in Figma, or other wireframing tools.
- Have some understanding of current web technologies HTML5, CSS3 and Javascript
- Interested in the latest web technologies and user experience methodologies
- Familiarity with analytic tools such as Google Analytics and Mouseflow
- Background knowledge or curiosity about Usability Testing and User Centered Design
- Examples of work via a portfolio is required (please send in PDF or URL)

Base Pay is based on a candidate completing 3 years of university or the academic equivalent
Base Pay
SF Bay Area, Seattle Metro and New York City Metro Area
Base Pay: $36 per hour
California (excludes SF Bay Area), Washington (excludes Seattle Metro), Washington DC Metro, and Massachusetts
Base Pay: $32 per hour
All other cities and states excluding California, Washington, Massachusetts, New York City Metro Area and Washington DC Metro Area.
Base Pay: $30 per hour
Splunk provides flexibility and choice in the working arrangement for most roles, including remote and/or in-office roles. We have a market-based pay structure which varies by location. Please note that the base pay is a guideline and for candidates who receive an offer, the base pay will vary based on factors such as work location as set out above, as well as the knowledge, skills, year in school and experience of the candidate. In addition to base pay, this role may be eligible for benefits.
