The role:

At Splash Damage, we create multiplayer combat games that champion team play and promote lifelong friendships.

As an Animation Programmer at Splash Damage, you will be responsible for animation engineering, working with Gameplay, Animation and Design teams. In this role, you will not only use your engineering expertise but also your understanding of animation aesthetics.

You will also get the opportunity to work with Unreal Engine 5 for delivery of games on multiple platforms.

You excel at

Working with interdisciplinary teams

Identifying and mitigating technical and developmental risks

Maintaining and extending existing animation components, tools, pipelines and workflows

Keeping up to date with latest technologies and techniques

Writing code in a highly collaborative environment

Communicating ideas, intent, and constraints to both technical and non-technical team members.

You have

Strong practical knowledge of C++, with relevant professional experience.

Strong understanding of game-development related 3D maths principles

Experience solving animation and character related problems within game development

Experience working with a wide range of animation and video game technologies

A strong interest in researching and implementing new animation technologies

Even Better if you have:

Experience with low-level animation systems development

Professional development experience with real-time networked multiplayer games.

Professional Unreal Engine 4 development experience.

Experience developing for Xbox/Playstation/Stadia/Switch/mobile.

Experience profiling and optimising code for optimal CPU, memory and bandwidth usage.
