Payroll Manager – (Hybrid - Two days onsite a week in the office)

Compensation - $80,000 – 110,000 with 5% bonus  
  
  
The Payroll Manager is a key member of the finance team responsible for overseeing all aspects of payroll operations within an organization. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and a thorough understanding of payroll regulations and procedures. The Payroll Manager ensures accurate and timely processing of employee compensation, benefits, deductions, and taxes while adhering to relevant laws and company policies.

How you will contribute:  
  
  
You will:  
  
  
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and reconcile payroll reports to ensure accuracy.
  • Manage new hires, terminations, and manager other off-cycle payroll efforts.
  • Manage employee benefit deductions, garnishments, and other payroll-related deductions.
  • Communicate with employees regarding payroll inquiries and issues.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations.
  • Assist with external audits related to payroll, providing documentation and explanations as necessary. 
  • Ensure payroll records are accurate, complete, and accessible for audit purposes.
  • Maintain accurate and organized files and documentation for payroll processes.
  • Generate payroll reports for management and finance teams, including year-end reports, tax filings, and ad-hoc analyses as required.  Provide insights and recommendations based on payroll data.
  • Continuously review and enhance payroll processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.  Identify opportunities for automation and streamlining of payroll procedures.
  
  
What you will bring:  
  
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
  • Proven experience (at least 5 years) in payroll administration or similar role.
  • Familiarity with Infor or other accounting software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Direct experience with domestic and international PEO’s.
  • Experience with payroll tools such as UKG, ADP, Paychex, etc.
  • Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  
  
It would be nice if you had:  
  • Experience with commission management a plus.
