Specialist Sales Team Leader
|Average earning potential (inclusive of basic salary + commission)||First year's earning potential *(based on achieving your first four targeted quarters) - £25,000 - £32,000|

This exciting role is to work within the Specialist Sales team here at Softcat, who are responsible for providing consultancy and support to our customers and Sales teams around a range of technology-based solutions, including Networking and Security and Datacentre. The key focus of this team is to keep abreast of what’s happening in the specific technology areas they are aligned to so they can understand how this may impact our customers, and how best we can deliver value.

We are offering opportunities to join the Specialist team either in Networking and Security or Datacentre. Both of which don't require previous knowledge or experience in the sector, we are looking for someone that has a thirst to learn and will enjoy focusing on a specific aspect of technology.
As a Sales Specialist (in either area explained above) you'll be expected to do a blended role. The first element will be to drive business development, prospecting clients around the specific technologies you have been trained on. The second will be around providing internal consultancy to other Account Managers across our Corporate Sales teams, providing specialist technology insight that will help their customers buy the right technology that solves their business challenges.
What we need from you
- Previous sales or customer facing experience would be an advantage but not essential
- Interested to hear from Graduates looking for a role in sales
- Have the entrepreneurial flare to build your own client base from scratch
- Self-starter, quick learner and highly organised
- Keen to learn about new and emerging technologies
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to build rapport with potential new clients, as well as strong relationships internally
