We are seeking a Leader for the Marketing Data Science / Analytics team that serves our Member and Engagement businesses. In this role you will work closely with our product marketing leads for Member and Engagement products (Invest, Money, Relay) and media channel owners to measure, test and optimize our marketing performance.  You will lead a team of data scientists who are (1) building and updating marketing attribution dashboards to optimize digital spend and full funnel conversion, (2) building propensity models for targeting and (3) designing/implementing experiments to measure specific marketing strategies. You will work closely with modelers on the team on machine learning models to drive acquisition for Money and Invest and lifecycle cross-sell for member.

To be successful in this role, you need to have at least 7+ years of hands-on experience in analyzing and optimizing the performance of all digital marketing channels for acquisition and cross-sell. You need to have experience building propensity models for digital targeting. You need to have experience measuring and optimizing Customer Relationship Management (CRM) campaigns with proven track record in driving customer lifetime value. You need to be well versed with campaign experimental design and measurement methods. You need to have 3+ years of people leadership experience. 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of data scientists / analysts

  • Develop strategy and framework for reporting, testing, analyzing and forecasting all digital marketing channels including email, digital, and web marketing, and across multiple types of marketing, including acquisition, member cross-sell and multi-product brand marketing 

  • Apply statistical techniques to measure/attribute marketing performance and setup experimental design plans

  • Lead implementation and continuous improvement of targeting models and strategies

  • Identify opportunities to improve marketing efficiency such as incrementality test 

  • Cultivate strong partnerships with Product Marketing, Channel Owners and Business Units Leaders. Deliver data driven strategies to influence spend allocation by media channel and within channels

  • Deliver actionable insights to impact marketing and BU strategy and decisions

Qualifications:

  • M.B.A. or Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Statistics, Operations Research, Engineering, Mathematics or a related quantitative field

  • At least 3 years of people leadership and management experience

  • 7+ years’ of experience in Digital and CRM analytical role (consulting to external clients and/or internal business partners). Preferably 3+ years of experience working in the area of model development in financial services domain

  • Deep understating of marketing measurement techniques including, digital multi-touch attribution and A/B testing

  • Proficiency in Tableau

  • Knowledge of machine learning and statistical modeling methods for supervised and unsupervised learning. These methods include (but not limited to) regression analysis, clustering, outlier detection, novelty detection, decision trees, collaborative filtering, nearest neighbors, support vector machines, ensemble methods and boosting, neural networks and deep learning, feature selection, and factorization methods

  • Programming skills in Python and/or R are a plus

  • Strong knowledge of databases and related languages/tools such as SQL, NoSQL, Hive, etc

  • Ability to work in a dynamic, cross-functional environment, with a strong attention to detail

  • Effective communication skills and ability to explain complex models in simple terms

  • Strong relationship-building and collaborative skills
