The Role

This is a great opportunity for a Senior Telephony Engineer to join an exciting and innovative organization working on important and highly visible projects
 

What You'll Do:

  • Provide IP Telephony and VoIP Subject Matter Expertise for Company and Company's managed service providers with minimal supervision

  • Telephony Engineer manages 3rd party telecom carriers and mobile providers

  • Design and Deploy SIP VOIP trunking architecture

  • Administration of SIP and Media Servers

  • Troubleshoots and resolves complex problems

  • Manage all conference room equipment, scheduling, and quality

  • A/V Setup and operation including projection, microphones and mixers, Video Conferencing systems, Polycom, WebEx, Skype for Business, Zoom

  • Multipoint Bridge (MCU) Systems and Meeting Management

  • Installation, integration and system setup of room based video conference equipment

What You'll Need:

  • Experience with Cloud based IP Telephony Solutions

  • SIP experience

  • Experience implementing a variety of Unified Communication products solutions and understanding the relative technical capabilities of each, including product reviews, integration requirements, and cost factoring

  • Softphone and IM Client implementation experience

  • Video network technologies, protocols, codecs, and standards and how they can be leveraged to video-enable VOIP solutions

  • Strong verbal and written communication and inter-personal skills

  • Strong cross-functional leadership and project organization skills

  • Deep Telephony Engineering and Support (VoIP and Unified Communications) experience within a Corporate Enterprise and Large Contact Center environment

  • SMS protocols, systems, carrier regulations and industry best practices would be advantageous

  • Action oriented and results focused over long-term, multi-phase, cross-functional team projects

  • Proven effectiveness in communicating and catalyzing consensus with and between executive leadership, sales, senior engineers/architects and customers

  • Product roadmap development and maintenance

  • Experience working directly with network/system/development Operations teams that manage a high availability network platform by engaging them as an internal customer to deliver the platform tools and features they need for success

  • The ability to keep up with market capability in areas of Contact Center management tools and delivery options

  • The ability to keep up with Local and Federal regulations and restrictions which apply to Contact Center management and report those, with applicable solution options, to senior managers as needed

  • Strong cross-functional leadership and project organization skills and experience matrix managing stakeholders and peer resources to better organize strategic initiatives and direction

  • Experience with Zoom
