About the Role

SoFi is seeking an associate who will be responsible for loan sale and securitization reporting activities.  This role will report into the Director, Capital Markets.  As an associate you will be the first person contacted by our loan sale partners and securitization trustees and will be responsible for the day to day as well as monthly reporting operations.  You will be responsible for communicating on a timely basis with all of our loan sale and securitization partners on inquiries and questions. Monthly you will be responsible for reporting to our partners, including servicing reports, remittances, reconciliations, audits and any other analytical reports requested.

Job Description

SoFi is seeking an associate who will be responsible for loan sale and securitization reporting activities.  This role will report into the Director, Capital Markets.  As an associate you will be the first person contacted by our loan sale partners and securitization trustees and will be responsible for the day to day as well as monthly reporting operations.  On a daily basis, you will be responsible for communicating on a timely basis with all of our loan sale and securitization partners on inquiries and questions. Monthly, you will be responsible for reporting to our partners, including servicing reports, remittances, reconciliations, audits and any other analytical reports requested.

The role requires a self-motivated individual who can run multiple initiatives with sensitivity to deadlines. You will work closely with your manager to design best in class processes and activity workflow, develop management reporting, maintain accurate and up to date policies and procedures, and work closely with our engineers and external partners to automate and streamline processes.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to

    • Work with external providers and internal servicing staff to complete monthly reporting for whole loan investors and securitizations.
    • Lead contact on all whole loan sale audits and compliance reviews
    • Responding to all inquiries from third party investors on a timely basis
    • Work with the servicing staff, loan ops, engineering, and other internal parties to complete reconciliations over remittances and principal balance rolls when necessary
    • Assist management with process improvements, technology implementations and controls
    • Ensuring all reports, remittances and reconciliations are completed on time and in accordance with policies
    • Identify, document, process, and track loan repurchases
    • Making recommendations for the improvement of controls and data in the overall servicing operation

Qualifications / requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree - Business, Accounting or Finance preferred but not required
    • 2-5 years of experience, including experience in investor reporting and/or servicing
    • Ability to competently complete multiple tasks simultaneously with an appropriate attention to detail.
    • Demonstrated professionalism in communications, a customer service focused attitude, great interpersonal skills, and the ability to work well with internal and external parties
    • Ability to work under tight time constraints independently and within the department.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Computer skills, including strong Excel and PowerPoint
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and balance multiple deadlines and workstreams
    • Ability to work with engineers and product managers to communicate business operational needs and help to build out infrastructure
