Director, Home Loan Operations

The Director, Home Loan Operations will be responsible for managing the activities and strategies of Home Loan Operations with an emphasis on vendor oversight, member experience and initiative management to achieve business goals including performance and member experience. This role will also be responsible to attract, develop, and retain employees in the department.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Execute and support strategic initiatives. Develops and executes long-range strategic plans and objectives to impact business results.
- Effective in managing complex vendor relationships and process design implementation.
- Analyzes reports, identifies areas for improvement, and implements operational strategies to increase performance.
- Create and enforce high standards of member experience.
- Works with sales to optimize processes and develops well controlled processes to meet business objective.
- Coordinates implementation and enhancement of operational systems and procedures.
- Ensures compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
8+ years of experience in Mortgage Operations Leadership (Managing Multiple Mortgage Operations Teams)
Direct experience overseeing a vendor/partner relationship, specifically driving SLA and KPI execution
Proven ability to understand, instruct and calculate various types of financial documents
Ability to exhibit grace under pressure, while successfully navigating stressful work assignments/situations efficiently and effectively
Ability to meet critical deadlines under stressful conditions
Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with co-workers, management and clients
Self motivated and able to work independently
Able to move between projects / duties quickly and efficiently
Strong work ethic, organizational skills, and time management skills
Professional demeanor, strong written and oral communication skills
Excellent quantitative skills and ability to demonstrate mathematical application
Passion for leadership and developing a successful team
Decision making skills (experience making decisions, uncovering needs)
Basic computer skills with solid proficiency in Google systems, SoFi internal systems, and other database and web programs. Must be able to quickly toggle between different systems across multiple monitors.
College degree desired, High school diploma or GED required
This position requires supervisory responsibilities.
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position and hours of work and days are Monday-Sunday, 7:00 a.m. to 8:15 p.m. Many schedules include evening and weekend work and may be required as job duties demand.
