The Role

Join SoFi's Product internship program for the summer of 2020. We are looking for a strategic, analytical, technology proficient, hands-on, team player who can lead, define, and deliver innovative solutions for our customer centric products. 

A product manager is responsible for supporting activities around strategy, product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle, including: gathering product requirements, realizing the product vision, and working closely with engineering, design, marketing, risk, finance, and loan operations to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. Responsibilities also include contributing to the efforts to ensure that the product supports the company’s overall strategy and goals. As a member of the SoFi product management team, the MBA Intern will work alongside other product managers in our office and have the opportunity to drive forward several important projects over the summer.  The MBA Intern will be responsible for 2-3 key deliverables and will also be expected to assist other product managers with initiatives in progress. The experience will give the intern the opportunity to own initiatives end-to-end, while also gaining broad exposure to the role of a product manager and SoFi’s other businesses.  Potential projects include (to be finalized between the MBA intern and hiring manager upon start):

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Current MBA student 

  • Proven ability to innovate and come up with ideas to help drive the product forward

  • Excellent project management skills, detail orientation

  • Superior communication skills

  • Proven ability to understand the business and engineering sides of a problem

  • Proven ability to assume a strong sense of responsibility and ownership amidst ambiguity

  • Proven ability to handle challenging tasks and to multi-task

  • Proven ability to operate in a dynamic, fluid environment and to adapt quickly

  • Proven ability to learn fast, ask questions and solve problems

  • Ability to meet deadlines and stick to planned schedules 

  •  Understanding of fundamental Product Management concepts 

  •  Desire to learn in a fast-paced work environment 

  • Previous start-up experience
