The Role

SoFi is seeking an Analyst, who will be responsible for whole loan sale and securitization reporting activities.  This role will report to the Director, Capital Markets Operations. As an Analyst, you will be the first person contacted by our loan sale partners and securitization trustees.  On a monthly basis, you will be responsible for reporting to our whole loan partners, including servicing reports, remittance files, data reconciliations, audits and any other requested analytical reports.  Between reporting cycles, this candidate will be responsible for project managing the efforts to convert reporting into a more automated and efficient process, working with both internal and external stakeholders, investors, and third-party vendors.

The role requires a self-motivated individual who can run multiple initiatives with sensitivity to deadlines. You will work closely with your manager to design best in class processes and activity workflow, develop management reporting, maintain accurate and up to date policies and procedures, and work closely with our engineers and external partners to automate and streamline processes. 

What You'll Do:

  • Work with external vendors and internal servicing staff to complete monthly reporting for over 50 unique ABS transactions, including the preparation of Servicer and Trustee Reports

  • Respond to all inquiries from investors on a timely basis

  • Handling all invoicing from parties to securitization transactions, including rating agencies, auditors, and data rooms, and allocating correctly into the deal waterfall

  • Work with Servicing, Accounting, Tax & Audit, Engineering, and other internal parties to complete data quality checks

  • Project manage third party integrations, process improvements, technology implementations and audit controls

  • Ensure all reports, remittances, and reconciliations are completed on time and in accordance with policies

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree - Business, Accounting or Finance preferred but not required

  • 2+ years of experience, including experience in investor reporting and/or servicing

  • Ability to read and interpret securitization documents and warehouse financing agreements

  • Familiarity with securitization finance deal processes, including rating agency deliverables, SEC filings, and collateral analysis

  • Direct experience working with third party data agents such as PeerIQ, DV01, Intex, and Bloomberg

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Strong computer skills, including excel.  SQL/VBA/Python and other languages that can be used for automation are all a plus

  • Ability to work with engineers and product managers to communicate business operational needs and help to build out infrastructure
