As a Sales Operations Manager, you will be part of the Business Operations team that supports sales and partnerships at SoFi. You will report to the Director of Business Operations and be responsible for providing broad operational day-to-day support with ownership of our CRM, Salesforce. The team will count on you to continuously optimize processes to give our sales representatives more time to focus on what they do best – sell.
We’ll look to you to proactively identify bottlenecks in the sales process and find ways to reduce them to make the sales machine go faster. You will ultimately be responsible for tracking your progress and the team’s progress and preparing presentations on our work for senior SoFi management.
A typical week will likely be split in two main buckets: 1) support of regular weekly / monthly / quarterly analyses and reporting in support of the partnerships team and 2) special projects with peers in Business Operations in support of the office of the CEO and other functional groups.
What You'll Do:
Perform data entry duties with regard to sales figures, metrics and other key data.
Review forecasting information as needed to verify accuracy, and adjust forecasting formulas as needed to most accurately represent the opportunity.
Prepare detailed monthly sales reports containing relevant information on sales representatives, territories, leads, pipeline and tracking to quotas.
Own the team’s funnel analysis. Own the end-to-end process of tracking the sales funnel and operational metrics and delivering regular insights to the business; define and deliver techniques to improve the funnel performance for sales management.
Partner with sales and marketing department to refine lead qualification process, analyze and report on campaign performance with reporting and dashboards.
Enhance sales productivity by enabling the team to work smarter by simplifying processes.
Own the tools budget for the sales and partnerships team.
Assist with onboarding and training new sales talent.
Refine customer segmentation, assist with territory management, and renewal and upsell processes.
Maintain procurement and contract records.
Prepare and maintain quarterly commission reports.
What You'll Need:
2-3 years of experience in sales operations with proficiency creating reports, optimizing processes, and managing dashboards.
Bachelor's degree required; technical or business-related field preferred.
Ability to understand high-level sales strategies, translate them into system and process requirements, and communicate these to the team.
Advanced Excel skills with a strong understanding of CRM systems, preferably Salesforce.
Eagerness to dive into complex datasets, ability to glean insights, and put to use.
Command strong communication skills to share findings and work via email, presentations, group trainings, and one-on-one meetings.
Experience with pipeline management. Have owned the end-to-end process of tracking the sales process and conversion rates through the sales funnel.
Hands on operational capabilities with advanced proficiency in Google suite, MS Office apps, etc.
The ability to understand the strategic direction and support appropriate processes to facilitate achievement of business objectives.
Excellent time and project management skills with the ability to build strong cross-functional relationships and work collaboratively.
Inquisitive nature, attention to detail, diligence and a good attitude.
