SNA International, a world leader in forensics, biometrics, and identity intelligence, is currently looking for a Forensic Scientist 3 - Training and Education (T&E) Assistant Manager
 
The T&E Assistant Manager will help develop, implement, and oversee all training & education initiatives for Current Day Operations, Past Accounting, Family Reference Specimens - Laboratory Automation, and Quality Management sections
 
Critical Work Responsibilities:
 
  • Provide training in laboratory techniques and procedures to technical staff, students, and guests of the laboratory. 
  • Supervise and mentor new hires.
  • Work with Technical Leaders to identify optimal training plans as needed to meet mission requirements.
  • Prepare presentation material, give lectures, and participate in courses, symposia, workshops, and conferences on matters relating to DNA typing, forensic science, and molecular biology.
  • Perform technical review of training exercises.
  • Assess training & education requirements and track continuing education and proficiency participation for inspection purposes.
  • Coordinate internships, moot courts, and verbal/written competency examinations.
Minimum Qualifications
 
  • A Masters of Forensic Science or a Master’s degree in one of the natural sciences with coursework covering molecular biology, biochemistry, and genetics and two years of relevant forensic DNA experience, or a Bachelor’s degree with coursework in molecular biology, biochemistry and molecular genetics and four years of relevant forensic DNA experience
