Deputy Program Manager

SNA International, LLC is seeking an experienced Deputy Program Manager to support the West Desert

Test Center (WDTC) located at Dugway Proving Ground (DPG), Utah. The candidate must have a minimum of 7 years of project management experience with DOD contracts, preferably Chemical Biological (CB) defense systems.


Roles and Responsibilities

  • Report to the Program Manager (PM) and performs other duties as assigned.
  • Support the PM in direct supervision of project staff
  • Assist with the preparation of progress and status reports for both WDTC management and external customers
  • Attend and support status report presentations in meetings both at WDTC and elsewhere
  • Aide with customer coordination (i.e., on-site visits) as well as coordinating the activities of various groups and organizations at WDTC and DPG supporting the test program
  • Perform PM duties when PM is absent


Required Skills, Education, and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in physical sciences (preferred) or 7 years of relevant experience performing duties that are typically in or related to this line of work
  • Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary teams of scientists and/or engineers in the planning and execution of test programs
  • Experimental and laboratory experience in areas related to CB defensive systems
  • Demonstrated Management level experience of high-level scientific/engineering professionals and other technical staff
  • Understating and experience in development and management of cost estimates, Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), Earned Value Management (EVM), and budgeting processes
  • Team management and interpersonal communication skills, with the demonstrated ability to be innovative and adapt to changing program requirements
  • Strong problem-solving skills are also desirable
  • Active DoD Secret security clearance
  • Effective communication and supervisory skills
