Description

Smithbucklin, a 100% employee-owned company that serves associations, communities, and societies, is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Senior Associate. This position has primarily Corporate Accounts Payable responsibilities with back-up for all other areas of the Accounts Payable department.

What You Will Do
•    Process approved invoices for daily and weekly check generations for all Smithbucklin entities.  
•    Review and post vouchers and payments imported from Concur.  
•    Process all payment adjustments and credit related items for all Smithbucklin entities.  
•    Run weekly aging’s to balance to generated check runs.  
•    Generate payments as needed and for all Smithbucklin entities.  
•    Disburse checks for mailing for all Smithbucklin entities.  
•    Process wire and EFT transactions for all Smithbucklin entities.  
•    Process Concur company credit card reports.  
•    Review invoices for sales tax accruals, W9s and 1099 info for all Smithbucklin entities.  
•    Run and transmit Positive Pay.  
•    Maintain vendor W-9 documentation  
•    Process annual 1099 forms for all Smithbucklin entities  
•    Resolve vendor inquires (as needed)  
•    Order approved supplies for the accounting department (as needed)  
•    Maintain monthly checklist (daily as needed)  
•    Supply support and back up for all other A/P staff (as needed)  
•    Assist with special projects (as needed)  
•    Review and update procedures on an ongoing basis (as needed)  
 
Basic Qualifications:  
•    H.S. Diploma  
•    Experience in data entry and Accounts Payable processing  
•    Concur Invoice and Expense experience preferred  
•    Good communication skills  
•    Ability to meet deadlines

Our hybrid environment offers you the option to work from home two days per week. Employees will work a standard 40-hour week, with the possibility of additional hours based on project deadlines.
 
The salary for this role will be based on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and relevant experience. Additionally, successful candidates may qualify for a discretionary bonus up to and including 5% of base pay. The expected pay for this role is: Chicago: $50,000 to $55,000
