With our Canadian business growing rapidly, SkipTheDishes continues to invest in world class talent and is looking to hire a highly established individual as a Director of Finance.

There is a need to hire an exceptional, highly experienced Finance professional. This is a senior role within the company’s global operations and will work closely with both the Canadian central finance organization, and other countries in the JE group.

What you'll be doing:

  • Providing strong financial leadership within the JE Global Operations function, ensuring that the team works as a hands-on business partner, proactively challenging and supporting the wider business
  • Collaborating effectively with the Chief Delivery Officer and other senior members of the organization, demonstrating empathy, sophisticated influencing skills and maturity when building and managing relationships
  • Being responsible for budget drafting and compliance, FP&A, costing, forecasting, capital planning and reporting
  • Developing and improving financial operations and reporting whilst maintaining a highly agile and entrepreneurial culture
  • Monitoring financial performance, process improvements and growth initiatives, contributing to the development of business plans that deliver sustainable and profitable growth

Who we're looking for:

  • Minimum 10 years of overall experience with prior experience in a Director, Manager or senior level role
  • Degree educated with a professional qualification or designation
  • Minimum of 5 years senior-level finance leadership experience
  • Well-rounded, with strong breadth of experience across all areas of finance
  • Relevant industry experience from a consumer oriented business, preferably with significant exposure to technology and/or e-commerce and high growth business
  • Demonstrable track record of strong financial leadership, ensuring best practices of accounting and reporting processes
  • Strategic ability, keen intellect and outstanding analytical skills, and is resilient and demonstrates gravitas and credibility
  • High levels of emotional intelligence; able to coach, develop and mentor
  • Approachable, with the ability to communicate and influence cross-functionally and the ability to work well within a fast paced environment
  • Impeccable integrity and a strong work ethic and sensitive to changing priorities and able to work as a change agent within the business
  • Able to build and maintain productive cross-functional relationships to drive business and create teams
  • High levels of energy with the ability to motivate and drive teams, engendering a culture of teamwork and be thoughtful yet decisive with strong team building skills
