Skills: 

  • Qualitative and quantitative data analysis methods and utilization
  • Writing user stories and facilitation of team discussion
  • Product backlog grooming, prioritization, and roadmaps
  • Product launch and communication
  • Strong oral & written communication and able to break bigger ideas into simplified communication

Experience:

  • Has run product for a team with primary responsibility for roadmap definition and delivery over 3-6 months

 

Knowledge:

  • Experience of project and product delivery with cross-functional teams, able to overcome/adapt to unforeseen challenges to meet commitments
  • Gets costs vs value in team and clearly communicates and prioritizes delivery accordingly
  • Has subject matter expertise in own discipline and basic knowledge of related disciplines
  • Solves complex problems; takes a new perspective on existing solutions
  • May lead functional projects or workstreams within a project
  • Works independently, identify innovative solutions, receiving minimal guidance.

Accountable & Responsible for:

  • Product planning and delivery at team level
  • Identifying product requirements; works with business stakeholders to identify and analyse opportunities to improve our products. Writes clear user stories at feature level
  • Product roadmap and backlog; build short term product backlog for 1-2 teams in line with the strategic goals and objectives of their manager and/or Head of Product, team and business stakeholders.  Maintains a discovery backlog of possible innovations
  • Product delivery and measurement; works effectively in an agile environment to deliver product increments and ensure that requirements are met. Measures and monitors product performance after releases
  • Communication and stakeholder management; clearly communicates with multiple stakeholders throughout the product development process and manages expectations
