Communications Manager

What you’ll be doing:

  • Developing and managing the execution of communications strategies
  • Draft various communications materials for media, and internal and external stakeholders
  • Manage all media relations, including external agency support
  • Lead and Support the Director of Communications Director in providing issues management and crisis communications for the organization
  • Manage the external campaigns and projects across the organization

People we’re looking for:

  • Bachelors Degree or certificate in Communications, Community Relations, Marketing, Public Relations or a related field; university degree in a related field is an asset
  • Minimum of five years related work experience, and two years managing a team
  • Strong writing and editing skills
  • Proven ability to develop and manage strategic communication planning
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with internal teams, stakeholders and media
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to multitask in a busy work environment
  • Have a great attitude and are proven self-starters
  • Thrive in a rapidly changing environment
