Marketing Insights Analyst
This role will focus on the development and commercialization of insights, best practices, and foundational research. This will include regular interaction with stakeholders and leading the dialogue around food delivery trends, competitive & industry benchmarking, and general understanding of purchase trends & dynamics.
Key collaborators include cross-functional members of the stakeholder teams as well as extended teams including the broader Marketing, Strategic Development, Business Intelligence group, Strategic Partnerships, Product, and third-party agencies.
The Analyst plays a critical role in translating data into actionable insights for the marketing team to execute.
What’s on your plate:
Lead role in developing insights to identify key areas of growth for the customer (i.e. acquisition, optimization, retention) to be executed by the Marketing Team or media partners
Regularly engage the Strategy Development and Marketing Leadership Team to deliver customer insights on campaigns and marketing initiatives to guide strategic decision making
Integration of analytics and data visualization tools to track metrics to optimize projects and campaigns, measurement of outcomes, optimization of resources and overall health of the marketing team
Summarize results and develop lessons learned for campaigns and experiments
Identify opportunities to deploy learnings across other LOBs
Investigate & evaluate marketing methods, consumer insights, advertising channels, and their results in an effort to continually improve results.
Deliver both ad-hoc and scheduled reports to the marketing team
Perform ad-hoc in depth analysis for marketing projects
Participate in the measurement strategy and planning process which includes identifying objectives and key success metrics, as well as defining measurement approach and requirements:
Turn business questions into functional analysis - understand the business as well as the data behind the analysis
Translate business decisions into financial impact
Identify, recommend, and implement process changes to improve efficiencies and support our strategic objectives
Prepare reports for SkipTheDishes leadership on performance of marketing initiatives
Recipe for Success:
Proven ability to translate data into stories and specific strategic and tactical recommendations that drive the business
Minimum 3-5 years of related work experience within marketing or consumer insights
Undergraduate degree in Business, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Information Systems, or other Quantitative Field
Intimate understanding of data and financial implications of business processes
Experience in identifying areas of growth and executing strategy within marketing
Driven self-starter and problem solver, who succeeds both team and independent environments.
Takes ownership over projects and drives problems to solutions
Analytical, detail and data-oriented
Experience in Google Analytics and/or data and visualization tools including SQL, Excel, and Tableau is an asset
