SEWS — Farmington Hills, Michigan Office.  Although located at SEWS – Farmington Hills Office, this is a Hybrid position, which combines both in office and off-site work.  Associates are required to work at least two days in the office each week, but also have the flexibility to work off-site.  
 
 
Basic Purpose:
 
SEWS North American Business Unit - Program Management department is hiring a new Project Manager to support Ford Programs. 
 
 
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
 
  1. Create, maintain and ensure adherence to Program Timing plan that aligns to customer deliverables and expectations. 
  2. Coordinate and lead cross-functional meetings to ensure deliverables are completed on time. 
  3. Report timing plan deliverable risks to internal and external management.
  4. Key customer interface and first point of escalation for program issues and deliverables.
  5. Maintain and continue to develop strong relationships with customer counterparts.
  6. Manage and present the Program Risk Assessment (PRA).
  7. Monitor, manage and report on customer satisfaction concerns where appropriate.
  8. Create, maintain, and present the Program Status Report (PSR).
  9. Lead balance out process with CFT to minimize extraordinary expenses.
  10. Support Program Analyst with OPD Change Management meetings.
  11. Management of all open action items to closure.
  12. Ensure that the quality and warranty teams are driving corrective actions for immediate closure of all issues.
  13. Support PM activities for achieving customer score card targets.
  14. Develop, track and maintain all program related data (change documentation/communication).
  15. Develop, track and maintain the critical path timing as required for post J1 activities (i.e. added starters, mid-MY launch.)
  16. Management of all Shokikan open action items to closure.
  17. Manage/facilitate internal program status reviews (face-to-face meetings).
  18. Manage supply chain activities to minimize extraordinary expenses (including rate & flow delivery schedules for prototype).
  19. Drive all cross functional teams to complete all launch readiness deliverables and tasks on time.
  20. Lead manufacturing feasibility assessments.
  21. Develop, track and maintain the Smart Sheets MPP for CFT including program gate reviews.
  22. Ensure that all APQP / Gate Review processes and deliverables are achieved.
  23. Travel to manufacturing to lead detailed prototype/pre-production readiness reviews (if travel is approved).
 
 Qualifications:
  • A Project Manager is the person responsible for leading a program from business award through balance out.  This includes planning, execution and managing the people, resources and scope of the program. Project Managers must have the discipline to create clear and attainable objectives and to ensure the cross functional teams deliver their program to target. 
  • Bachelor’s Degree along with 5-7 years progressive experience.
