SEWS—Ohio Customer Service Center (Marysville)
BASIC PURPOSE: Primary responsibilities is the coordination of component changes throughout the life cycle of the vehicle and monitoring of quality activities at the assigned Honda Manufacturing Locations for all SEWS products. Must possess strong organizational and interpersonal skills, be proficient in Microsoft Office and general blueprint knowledge. The position is under the guidance of the Assistant Quality Manager/ Quality manager assigned to those locations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Includes overseeing Product Validation (PV) testing for customer New Model Quality requirement.
- Prepare PV test plans for all customer New Model programs utilizing customer tracking system. Update customer tracking system at each PV testing milestone.
- Communicate PV plan requirements and schedules to Component Design PICs and Quality PICs at SEWS parent company, vendors and other suppliers. Follow-up with PICs at each testing milestone to assure schedule compliance and compile results.
- Initiate the notification, documentation and system approval for internal/external changes in new model and mass production stages.
- Coordinate, prepare and submit to the customer the necessary documents required for IPPAAR approval.
- Track the application of mass production changes at the different service centers and use the necessary tools to estimate application timing based on customer demand.
- Responsible for seeking customer approval for changes that affect fit, form, function, durability, or performance requirements.
- Update and maintain tracking log of changes.
- Maintain communication with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and management to ensure alignment and address any concerns.
- Other duties as assigned by manager
QAULIFICATION/REQUIREMENTS:
- High School diploma/GED and technical certificate.
- 5-7 years progressive engineering experience.
- Requires working knowledge of Microsoft Work, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Previous experience in Quality Assurance preferred but not required.
