Basic Purpose:
 
Monitor APQP phases during the harness development at customer sites. Work with manufacturing sites and with the business unit departments (PM, PD, PDA) with the requirements and follow up of 8 Ds with strong communication skills.
 
 
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
 
  1. Understand APQP phases according AIAG requirements to work closely with customer and manufacturing sites
  2. Collaborate with APQP, engineering, manufacturing, SQA and current production to determine root causes and containments, for problems during APQP phases.
  3. Collaborate with manufacturing, SQA and engineering to utilize 8D problem solving techniques to respond to customer claims.
  4. Report out to SEWS management and APQP teams. Record root causes and containments for Lessons Learned.
  5. Communicate regularly with APQP team and link input-outputs according to the APQP North American Business Unit procedure.
  6. Strong communication/ interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment.
  7. Any other additional activity assigned by management to support current production activities (QRE)
  8. Ability to coordinate containment and rework of finished goods at customer site for APQP phases.
  9. Flexibility to travel to Mexico and US.
  10. Follow the standards issued by SEWS and SEWS Quality Assurance in alignment with SEWS' values, objectives and quality.
 
 
Qualifications:
  • BS in Engineering or similar field 
  • 3 - 5 years of quality experience required
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook required
  • Experience with IATF/AIAG requirement (APQP) desired
  • Basic vehicle knowledge
  • Experience in the automotive industry and wire harness manufacturing
