Description

SEWS—El Paso Customer Service Center (Eastside).  Although located at SEWS – El Paso Office, this is a Hybrid position, which combines both in office and off-site work.  Associates are required to work at least two days in the office each week, but also have the flexibility to work off-site.
Job Title Buyer II
Buyer performs buying assignments of a complex nature. Purchases MRO Related items by evaluating vendor price, quality, delivery and specification requirements. Negotiated terms, pricing, and delivery items to meet SEWS internal demand. Records saving and maintain purchasing records
 
Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Searches for continuous purchase cost improvement within commodities assigned
  • Tracks cost savings and reports monthly project process to Procurement Management
  • Completes requisitions to PO by following purchasing  procedure
  • Manage and complete projects assigned by Procurement Managers
  • Responsible to maintaining and improving sources of supply by using progressive purchasing skills
  • Maintains professional work environment through 6S principals
  • Maintains good working relationship and company image with supplier through daily ethical business education
  • May perform other non-purchasing duties as assigned by Management
Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree, 3-5 years buyer experience/degree in related field, preferred but not required
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
  • MS Office skills
  • Knowledge in ERPLX or MRP
