Engineering Technician
Description
Basic Position Duties
- Troubleshoot production problems for injection molding, assembly and inspection.
- Improve manufacturing capability by performing time studies of equipment /operators for optimum performance.
- Assist Engineering to start-up new tools and perform needed trials.
- Improve mold production capability by reducing the number of red lights and cycle tine on three molds each per month. Report results to molding engineers.
- Make work instructions, operation standards, condition sheets, and other required documentation.
- Track daily production, machine utilization, molding cycles, material loss, etc. to improve manufacturing capability.
- Assist manufacturing to improve set-up/ TKA skills/ abilities through training and hands-on work.
- Investigate and coordinate Kaizen activities.
- Must have understating of Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.
- All other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
High School Diploma or GED. 0 – 1-year experience in the Engineering field. Three years’ experience in injection molding set-up or other injection mold technical position. Ideal candidate will be computer literate, have good math skills, good problem-solving skills, good interpersonal skills, good verbal and written skills, ability to work extended days/ overtime on short notice and ability to be on call for support
