The Quality Technician I at Kentucky Truck Plant (KTP) supports Quality Residents in the coordination of containment activities and the supervision of 3rd party companies related to customers concerns in Pre MP and current production issues.

This position communicates with customer quality representatives to review any problem reported during the launching phases.  Performs any containment and/or reworks, as well as material certification at customer locations.  Organizes containment and/or rework results and reports findings to QRE and /or QA manager.  Provide clear and consist information after any quality issue is reported and investigated.  Provides support as needed to the Resident Engineer and always works in a safe manner.  Maintaining a safe work environment and practicing good housekeeping at all times.  

This position requires strong communication and interpersonal skills and must be able to work in a team environment.  Flexibility to support other functions within the QA department and to travel within the US to other customer and SEWS locations is necessary.  This position also requires the flexibility to work overtime, adjust to shift rotations, and to work weekends as needed.  

Candidates must have the following:

  1. HS/GED, and Technical Certificate in Engineering or Industrial Technology, 
    2. 0.5-1 years of experience in a quality manufacturing environment desired. 
    3. Experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook required. 
    4. Basic measuring tool knowledge.
    5. Basic print knowledge.
    6. Basic vehicle knowledge a plus.
    7. Wire harness manufacturing a plus
