What do you get to do in this position?

  • Engages together with Publisher Compliance, Legal, Purchasing and Finance in settlement and contractual negotiation of Asset-related nett new and renewal based License agreements to ensure that SE obtains the most favorable price, product, terms and conditions
  • Acts as the primary point of contact externally and liaison with internal stakeholders like Purchasing; Business; Legal; Finance; etc. personnel / Finance
  • Engage with Stakeholders to negotiate contracts which align to the Schneider Electric's strategic goals that drive additional value to the enterprise
  • Applies and drives the effective adoption of governance frameworks and strategic application to ensure stakeholder alignment while working to resolve complex licensing issues in attainment of compliance
  • Will ensure they have an in-depth understanding of the Publisher's business, goals, strategies and industry trends and direction prior to defining the go-forward engagement strategy.
  • Will provide expertise in identifying, progressing, negotiating and closing commercial and settlement deals working closely with the extended Schneider team, leading multi-functional brand sales teams to develop and close the most complex, leading edge, high-risk opportunities, planning and leading negotiations with the highest levels of internal management with external negotiation and legal teams.
  • Actively builds internal and external relationships by establishing trust through accurate knowledge sharing, licensing guidance, and transparent engagement activities.
  • The Deal Makers serves as a global lead and demonstrates mature leadership behaviors including:

  • Contributes to the team achievement of Global Publisher Compliance Services goals and objectives.
  • Demonstrates balanced, impartial and timely judgment when making decisions on the Publisher Compliance engagement.
  • Will be responsible for achieving settlement results for local, international or worldwide agreements.
  • Advocates alignment with the larger LCAC function to mitigate underlying problems with Entitlement Agreements, Deployment positions, and usage discrepancies relative to attaining contractual compliance with the respective Publishers.

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Related Post graduate qualification is an advantage
  • Project management (PMP or similar certification preferred)
  • Additional Technology-specific qualifications relative to Licensing expertise highly advantageous
  • Professional and fully conversant in English
  • Second or third language would be an advantage
  • Professional contract specialist, with 3+ years of proficient experience in providing specialist view on contract development and delivery, generic terms and conditions, contract practices and fundamentals of business law and local laws including corporate policies and procedures
  • 3+ years in Performing Contract or Deal Management
  • 3+ years in Assisting in Deal structuring
  • 3+ years in Experience in software business industry
  • 5+ years of professional licensing experience in 2 or more Tier 1 software publishers preferred
  • You may have had experience of selling or negotiating with C-level, but most importantly you will have been involved in more complex transactions, ideally leading cross-brand solutions.
  • Demonstrative Sales or Purchasing expertise with technical knowledge in multiple complex offerings/ specialties, Software sales expertise in closing multi-million dollar deals
  • Proven business development - engaging, persuading, obtaining and developing relationships - with C level clients, defining the vision of benefits and value of an ongoing loyalty/partnership agreements with Tier 1 Technology Company
  • Demonstrative Sales or Purchasing expertise with technical knowledge in multiple complex offerings/ specialties
  • Strategic vision, strategy development and sales execution required to engage and close commercial deals and agreements
  • Construction of deals from a financial, contractual, legal standpoint, working closely with multi-national functions and teams to ensure viable outcomes are considered
  • Governance and leadership of the commercial agreement progression that ensures closure with supplier and internal Executive sponsorship and involvement
  • In depth knowledge of the Tier 1 Technology Publisher landscape and associated competition - the companies or industries, their products/services, strategies, directions, and multi-channel got to market strategies
