This role will be responsible for providing technical support for Finance, Purchasing and HR applications for the NAM Enterprise IT organization. In addition, this role will play a key part in delivering novel and timely solutions to address problems experience by customers within the Finance, Purchasing and HR organizations.
Responsibilities and Skillsets
- Provide break/fix solutions on a 24/7 basis to support the production batch job schedules. Develop innovative and cost-effective solutions for small project requests, including timely delivery of cost estimates and start/end dates and implementation of such solutions into the production environment. Drive efficiencies within the application landscape by looking for opportunities to decommission applications. Provide support for end users by completing support tickets in a timely and efficient manner. Provide root cause analysis for major issues. Focus on implementing root cause solutions in order to drive support ticket reduction. Maintain an open and positive relationship with end users, outsource vendors and internal Schneider Digital staff in order deliver quality solutions to the business. Additional responsibilities as assigned by Manager. Experience with Relational Database Management technology (Sybase,SQL Server, Oracle) Experience with SQL Server Database tools (SQL Server Integration Services, SQL Server Reporting Services, SQL Server Analysis Services) Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work independently and in a team Experience with Unix, Windows and Mainframe platforms. Exposure on Production support and application maintenance.
- BA/BS in MIS, Computer Science or related field (Associates degree with 2+ years relevant experience will also be considered). 2+ years' experience in an IT support environment
